What are Questions?

Questions let customers ask about products. You can approve, edit, delete, and respond to them.


Question status

Published

  • Visible to customers on product pages
  • Shows in the Q&A section
  • Can be answered and voted on

Pending

  • Not visible to customers
  • Waiting for approval
  • Can be approved, edited, or deleted

Creating questions

From customers

  • Customers submit questions on product pages
  • Questions start as Pending (unless auto-approval is enabled)
  • You receive email notifications (if enabled)

Manually

  • Go to Questions & Answers → Click “Add question”
  • Enter question text, customer name, email (optional)
  • Choose Published or Pending
  • Save

Approving questions

Manual approval

  1. Go to Questions & Answers
  2. Find the pending question
  3. Click “Approve” (or open the question and set status to Published)
  4. The question becomes Published
  5. Customer receives an email notification (if enabled)

Auto-approval

  • Enable in Settings → Email Settings → “Auto-approve new questions”
  • New customer questions are automatically Published
  • No manual approval needed

Editing questions

  1. Go to Questions & Answers
  2. Click “Edit” on a question
  3. Modify:
    • Question text
    • Customer name
    • Customer email
    • Publication status
  4. Click “Save”
  5. Changes apply immediately

Deleting questions

  1. Go to Questions & Answers
  2. Open the question
  3. Click “Delete Question”
  4. Confirm deletion
  5. Question and all its answers are permanently deleted

Searching and filtering

Search

  • Use the search box at the top
  • Searches question text, customer name, customer email, and answers
  • Results update as you type

Filter by status

  • All — Shows all questions
  • Published — Shows only published questions
  • Pending — Shows only pending questions

Filter by product

  • Click on a product category or type
  • View questions for that product only
  • Click “Clear filter” to reset

Managing questions

From the list view

  • View all questions in a table
  • See status, author, product, date
  • Quick actions: Edit, Add Answer, Approve
  • Navigate pages with pagination

From the detail view

  • Click a question to open it
  • View full question details
  • See all answers
  • Edit question or add answers
  • Delete question

1. Review before publishing

  • Check question content
  • Verify product relevance
  • Ensure appropriate language

2. Respond promptly

  • Add answers to published questions
  • Helps customers and builds trust

3. Use auto-approval wisely

  • Enable if you trust customer submissions
  • Disable if you want to review first

4. Regular moderation

  • Review pending questions regularly
  • Approve or delete as needed
  • Keep content relevant

Frequently asked questions

How do customers submit questions?

Customers submit questions on product pages using the Q&A form.

Can I edit a customer’s question?

Yes. Open the question and edit the text, then save.

What happens when I approve a question?

The question becomes Published, visible to customers, and the customer receives an email notification (if enabled).

Can I un-publish a question?

Yes. Edit the question and change status from Published to Pending.

How do I enable auto-approval?

Go to Settings → Email Settings → Enable “Auto-approve new questions”.

Can I search for specific questions?

Yes. Use the search box to find questions by text, customer name, or email.

What if I delete a question?

The question and all its answers are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

Can customers see pending questions?

No. Only Published questions are visible to customers.

How many questions can I have?

There’s no limit. You can have as many questions as needed.

Can I filter questions by product?

Yes. Click on product categories or types to filter questions for specific products.
